I bought one of these optical cables 2 years ago and I've used it since without incident. Also, there's no noticeable difference between these cables and the "premium" cables you can find at retail electronics stores. Well, there's no difference besides the price. As a buyer, the only thing I'd be careful with is making sure you want a 6 foot cable. It works great for my setup but you might want a larger one.
