Customer Reviews: Quality of build is outstanding!!March 11, 2009 Deal Breaker(Dublin, Ohio) This is great mid range product from Athena. Klipsch has bought out ATI (Athena, Energy, Mirage) so pick it up while you can! It retails for $200 but can be purchased on clearance for half of that now. The first thing that jumps out to you about this speaker is the imense quality of the build. The speakers are housed in a heavy aluminum shell that looks great and also comes with wall mounting brackets or a vertical stand. The WS-60 could be paired up and used as tower speakers or as an exteremy capable center speaker. There are six 3.5in woofers but only two are active and the other four are passive radiators. Not a huge deal just know that your reciever will only be driving two of the woofers and the tweeter. The mounting posts are spring loaded and you will be hard pressed to put anything bigger than 10 guage wire into them. This is easily the best center channel you can get for $100 and is comperable to speakers you would buy costing twice or three times as much.
Make sure you break this speaker in slowly. 50-100 hrs of moderate volume will do. It will sound good out the box and just get better and better the more you play it. I highly reccomend this product if you can get ahold of it.

I have been into hi-fi audio for the last 35 years. You should know that most of those highly priced speakers on the market are unnecessary in order to listen to accurate reproduction of the recorded music people listen to.
The Athena WS-60 is a well made, good sounding front or center speaker. These speakers may be the best sounding on the market at $99 per speaker.
They can be put on a table or wall mounted and look great with the new HD LCD televisions. After a couple of days of breaking them in they sound great. Get yourself a good 10" subwoofer for the low end and you have one of the best sounding systems around for a reasonable cost. Athena also makes the WS-100 which is the floor standing version and a WS-15 for surround sound.
I bought two WS-60 speakers and a set of WS-15 speakers. Went through the Amazon website for security purposes. The seller is Audio Advisor. Arrived in perfect condition and they sound great !

these speakers were tough to find, but they shipped right out to me with no problems and operate as promised. very easy to install.
