Unfortunately this device does not remember setup. Once you unplug the power and plug back in, you have to start over again.

Bought this product about 3 months and found it to be a great buy for the $$. I went to a techie review website to get more details on its performance, from an electrical spec, and they had nothing but praise for it. Apparently the chip set was/is used in hi performance units for outstanding performance. I am pressed to tell the difference between HD-FM amd my CD player for the same sound track. Like "Barcelona Nights" by Ottmar Liebert. One of our local FM stations plays the heck out of this album. Make sure you play it thru a quality power-amp with a set of above average speakers. A sub-woofer wouldn't hurt either.
Sony HD Radio Tuner at big hit January 7, 2009
When we upgraded our stereo system last year, we blanched at the cost of HD radio tuners and remained tunerless for most of the year. Enter the Sony XDRF1HD. For less than $100 we now have better radio reception than ever. The tuner came just in time for us to enjoy the great holiday programming on our local public radio station. The antenna that came with the tuner works well in our St. Paul home, although I understand it may not be adequate in more remote areas. The only downside, from our point of view, is that the presets vanish when the unit is unplugged -- unswell for eco-conscious or storm-prone folks.
Excellent device January 7, 2009
Its size allowed me to position it on top of my Bose radio and I was able to attach it to Aux. port from my HD tuner to the Bose with one simple cable and the sound is excellent. This HD tuner allows me to hear classical music 24/7 including the Metropolitan Opera braodcasts on Saturday afternoon in Ft. Myers, FL.
Amazing January 6, 2009
This has to be the best off air tuner i have ever used, the HD works perfect on both AM and FM, it even cleans up old analog stations to near perfect sound.
