westinghouse sk19h210s LCD TV January 8, 2009 I bought this model from NewEgg for $299.99 on April 2, 2008. The closed caption of the TV is miserably bad, which I need because I am mildly hard of hearing. Words and letters overlap each other and often obscure symbols appear.New Egg would charge restocking fee. The support service of Westinghouse initially tried to correct it with instructions on the phone but to no avail. Later they authorized me to take it to a local authorized TV repair shop, but the shop could not get the parts for two months. I then asked the support service to replace it,which they did but with a refurbished one from California. This one also has the same bad closed caption. After complaint, I returned it and they sent me another refurbished TV despite my request to send a new one rather than a refurbished one. This time also the unit was as bad. I again complained, so I returned it and they sent me a refurbished one still with the same bad closed caption features. I even wrote to the CEO of the Westinghouse, but with no reply. Finally I have resigned to the idea of having a lemon TV. This 19 inch TV is a bad one to buy. Now I am thinking of buying a TV of another vendor.
Failed after 14 Months January 3, 2009 After fourteen months of VERY light use in the kitchen the unit wll not turn on. Dead as a door nail. I haven't contacted Westinghouse yet, but I'm not hopeful that they will stand behind it since the warranty expired two months ago.
Bad HDMI December 22, 2008 I bought this at Target and after 60 days I tried to hook up my blu ray player via HDMI. It never would work and so I sent it back to Westinghouse and got a refurb in return with dead pixels and a scratched screen. I sent it back again and got another refurb in o.k. shape and it still has the same HDMI issue as others have mentioned on forums. You have to turn off your player and back on 4-5 times just to get a picture via the HDMI. Very dissatisfied with Westinghouse's poor customer service and products. I would give it 1/2 star if possible
Worked Great until It Didn't November 26, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The TV worked great for 1 year and 1 week. Then it stopped working altogether. It is almost like it is programmed to last until the warranty period is out and then quit, forcing another purchase. Well, Westinghouse won't get my money again. Unbelievable.

GOOD -- PRICE, BI-PLATFORMED FOR TV AND COMPUTER BAD -- NOT TRUE 16:9 (16:10), ACCESS TO DIGITAL QAM DIFFICULT, VIDEO AND AUDIO MEDIOCRE
For a cheap utility hdtv that can double as a vga plugged computer screen (or visaversa) as in a home office, this screen is a really good deal for the money. However pix and audio quality only mediorce and the viewing range on the lcd limited.
16:10 slightly distorts hdtv pix, elongating images by 10%.
CAUTION: You can not key-in digital channels directly on the remote, even though it has a dot key. The only access to Qam digital is via on screen menu and then you can only access channels directly through the onscreen programming guide. Lots of key strokes. NOTE QAM is important, since it allows access to local HDVD channels without renting a box from cable or satellite.
