 No Complaints after Six Months of Use! November 29, 2008
I have now had this caller ID box for about six months, and it's still working like a charm! What I especially like is that I haven't yet had to replaced the batteries. I like it so well, if fact, that I'm going to order a second one for elswhere in the house.

The display is difficult to read without tilting the unit to change the light reflection.

I got this because I was having issues with the caller ID with my present phone, and I already like it more than the caller id on any my phones. It would be nice if GE would make a model that came with a backlit LED, but, this works well.

The item I was seeking was one I could see across the room either by having a large display or illumination. The info indicates a large display, but in realty it cannot be read further than arms length. It is not illuminated so night time viewing does require turning on the lights. The unit does display the necessary information but the unit cannot be wall mounted (only sitting on the desk or table).

Had a great deal of difficulty opening battery door.
Since installing this unit, calls that come in have a great deal of static, for apx. 10 seconds. Same on messages left on answering machine. Have tried new cord, and batteries, but still same problem.
