Plantronics customer service is GREAT! December 1, 2008 I have been using this headset for almost a year. The first one I bought worked really well, then about 8 months of constant use, the wire broke, right underneath the volume control. I immediately called Plantronics customer service and they sent another one right out to me. This one has been working great. I use it with a Radio Shack 900 MHz cordless phone.
I did try to use it once with a VTech and I could hardly hear the person that I was talking with. The person I was talking to said she could hardly hear me as well. So I think it has a lot to do with the type of phone you are using it with. I haven't had a chance to use it with a big variety of phones, but I know that it works great with the Radio Shack brand.

Great headset October 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm using this headset with a GE 900MHz The phone was $17. Every call I get I ask the caller if they can hear me alright. The answer is always YES, I can hear you perfectly. Enough said. The actual Model is M214c. For the people having trouble with this headset, its either your phone or your phone carrier, not the headset
Headset is A-Okay October 12, 2008 We purchased two of these plantronics headsets for use of our cordless phones. We have a Motorola, Sony, and Panosonic cordless phones around the house and the M214C Plantronics headsets works relatively well. Since the headsets are not battery operated volume you hear is never real high, but Plantronics headset seem to have the best volume and a voice clarity in the market.
The drawbacks to this model is the over-the-head band is not ajustable and loose for kids. The boom clarity is a little bit tinny, but all words are I speak are understandable.
This is the best value headset I have had.
wonderful product!! September 13, 2008 Use this daily for online conferences and many phone calls. Great quality hearing and speaking, even for those with harder hearing. Also love the ability to mute the speaker - especially when gkids have a noisy moment.
Finally, a headset that lets people hear me on a 5.8GHz cordless phone August 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
People can hear me talk with this headset on my Panasonic 5.8 GHz cordless phone--a breakthrough. With other headsets I've tried, people could barely hear me on any cordless phone I've used, even though those headsets (e.g., the Panasonic KX-TCA92) worked perfectly with my cell phone. This 214C headset has solved my problem.
I can hear other people fine, as well. The only thing I don't like is the mute switch; it's too hard to slide.
A FAQ on Plantronics website prompted me to give this headset a try and perhaps explains why other headsets have problems: "If the cordless phone is 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz, your voice may sound low. In that case, you will need one our "C" mobile headsets designed especially for cordless phones."
