It's a shredderNovember 29, 2008 It does what it's supposed to do, but when you take the bin out to empty it there are pieces of paper all over the inside. Also you have a renewable bag you have to purhase for the inside an additional expense. Also my box wasn't complete a part was missing but Fellows shipped it and received it a week later.
Great Buy!November 25, 2008 I bought several shredders under the price of $100 and non last longer than a year with below average use. This is so far the most satisfying shredder I bought and hope it will last. All the features are working as it advertised, especially the credit card shredding.
Good Shredder Value For Your $$$November 24, 2008 I selected this product after looking around at different companies shredders. My old shredder which I had for 9 years finally wore out. I use shredders for my home to destroy bank statements, receipts, etc - I am not really a heavy user. I was looking for a couple of specific features my old one did not have - a bin that could be removed without touching the shredder assembly itself, on wheels so I could move it around my office, a reverse/anti jam feature, and a quieter motor. Cross cut shredding was VERY important and the shredder had to be small in size - but my old one had these features.
There are larger shredders out there but this is working well for me now - I have had it 3-4 weeks. Like I said, I am not a heavy user so the bin has not filled up yet. It is very quiet, has not jammed even though I have challended it a couple of times!
I picked Fellowes brand since they are in the "Shredder Business" - you can save some money buying third party machines like "staples brand" but I figured I would have this machine for a long time and I liked the feedback from other people who had problems and the Fellowes made returns/replacement straightforward - no hassles. For a few extra dollars I am buying peace of mind.
Nice Shredder.November 23, 2008 Delivered on time. Works well. More powerful than old shredder. Need to put paper in deeper because cutters are farther in for safety feature. Overall great product.
Perfect for Home OfficeNovember 4, 2008 I work from home for a Fortune 500 Corporation, so all work that is not filed must be shredded. This model is by far the best for the money and gets the job done.
