Smart, Powerful Design The nuevi 200 is built with a high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver for extreme accuracy, as well as an SD card slot for storing your media and additional navigation tools, and a USB interface for loading data. All this is wrapped up in a package that measures 3.8 x 2.8 x .8 inches (W x H x D) and weighs just 5.2 ounces. The nuevi 200's 3.5-inch (diagonal) display is touchscreen-enabled, making it a cinch to control the device with your fingertips. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to five hours of battery life depending on use.
Navigate with Ease nuevi comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator NT street maps for the continental United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, including a hefty database of more than 6 milliong points of interest (POIs), such as hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more, that are searchable by name or category. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nuevi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. Garmin gets its map data from NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium-quality mapping. In addition, the nuevi accepts custom (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.

The best and simple GPSAugust 18, 2008 Hi, if you need only routing capability (no off road track log, saved routes) this is by far one of the best ans simple GPS in the market. 4 of 5 stars: It does'n come with power adapter for home/office it is doesn't come with case.
Nuvi 200 is great!August 18, 2008 This is a great little gadget for just getting around a city you dont know too well or for giving you any sort of direction. though it doesnt tell you street names of where to turn, which i found would have been more helpful, but it is still great because the map has everything you need to know. i recommend it highly, it is very user friendly and works pretty slick. great buy.
GPS PORTABLEAugust 16, 2008 I had gotten a Garmin GPS and loved it. Unfortunately it was stolen out of my glove compartment, but I had come to depend on it so much that I immediately ordered another one. I have a bad sense of direction and the Garmin GPS ensures that I am going where I intend to go. The price is affordable, and it is easy to use. I learned not to leave it in my car when I am not using it. It is great for people like me who are always getting lost.
AwesomeAugust 13, 2008 We purchased these for our on the road employees. They have saved us time and money. We no longer have our drives arriving late or unable to find where they are to go. I would recommend this for anyone. I know I am going to buy one for people in my own family.
Ticked off!August 10, 2008 I've found out after purchase that my Garmin Nuvi 200 has 2007 maps -- it was not advertised that way. Also, I can't charge it and use it at the same time, so can only drive 6 hours on one charge. Tried to contact Garman and they're only open M-F, 9-5 -- and in order to download new maps I have to have a separate USB cable to attach to my computer!!! Not to mention the $75 for new maps!!!
However, when charged, it got me all the way to New Hampshire and back without a hitch!!!
