I ordered 2 of these as I was going to replace not only my iPod Mini battery, but also a friends.
One battery worked perfectly. I got approximately 20 hours of playback on it. Luckily, that was the battery I installed for my friend.
The battery that went into my iPod mini, I've only been able to get about 7 to 8 hours out of, which is fine, that's about how much I was able to get out of the original Apple battery, but the batteries charge seems to disipate quickly if not used. Like overnight. My friend reported to me that her's held the charge just fine for several days before being depleted when not in use.
I never bothered trying to get the retailer to replace my replacement battery since I mostly use the iPod in the car on a charger and I have a Nano for use everywhere else. It didn't seem worth it to me to go through the hoops of exchanging the battery that didn't work so well, especially with how inexpensive it was in the first place.
If you get one of the good ones, this battery is great. Very inexpensive and works like a champ.
If you get one of the not so good ones, hopefully you get a good experience in exchanging it. Good luck! :)

Ok, so it looks easy. But somehow, by the end, my Ipod ended up being broken. One of the concepts the instructional stuff on the web NEVER mentions is the idea that you may not be able to slip the "guts" back into the case. Such was the case with me. The result: My Ipod is now on Hold (no way to turn it off), and the Scroll Wheel "Menu" button is broken. This after I did my best to NOT force the thing. Now I have an Ipod which will ONLY play when attached to a computer. Portable it is not.
So what I'm saying is, prepare yourself for the potential that your Ipod may be dead after this. Seriously.

If your Ipod mini is dying after playing for just an hour like mine was, this is perfect. All you have to do is look up on you tube,"how to replace Ipod mini battery". All of the tools are there in the box. And it even comes with a hard plastic tool to remove certain parts of the Ipod. That was not in the picture but is a added bonus. So if you're looking for a battery to revive your mini, this is the best!!!
