 My mother loves this phone September 7, 2010

My mom's wireless phone died recently. She wanted to go to Walmart and get a new phone there. I said wait.. she did that last time and the phone wasn't very good. I checked out the reviews on this phone and, for about the same price, I had them delivered to her in 2 days (that prime shipping thing is pretty cool).
She can't stop talking about the phone. She loves that both handsets are wireless. Her previous system had one wired and one wireless. She raves about how light the phone is (she's 71) while being really well put together. And she really loves the backlighting. Its really easy for her to see at certain times of the day. She loves the speaker phone aspect it picks up well and its nice and loud and clear.
I have to say, its really nice to be able to get on Amazon and look around and read the reviews of the products. I have prevented quite a few purchasing mistakes in doing so.

My old portable phone was 10 years old and was producing a lot of static. This new set has such a clear sound and can be taken all over the house. The DECT 6.0 technology is fantastic. I know many people will say why bother to even have a landline these days. IMHO, we will see some kind of a major outage in cell phone service within the next few years and all of you with just a cell phone will be toast.

We bought this phone because our old phone had static and the volume was low. I debated about the Vtech because the reviews didn't say much about the volume. I am delighted with the volume control in both the ringer and the hand set. I no longer strain to hear on the phone. Price is great for all the features. Well pleased and would recommend this phone to non-tech people like myself who need easy set-up and use.

First of all I very rarely write a review, but this product really delivers so I feel it deserves my opinion. Amazon delivered it very quickly but that wasn't my main concern seeing I already own a VTech phone. If your looking for a phone with everything in the handsets this product is for you. There are so many features for the price it's a no brainer. My wife would constantly complain how she hates holding the handset while speaking to someone. This product took care of that. I would get frustrated when I needed to call someone back but the last numbers I called were not stored in the handset for recalling. This product took care of that. My wife and I live in a large home and from time to time we would have to yell across the room to ask a question. With this product you have the ability to call from one handset to another. What a great idea. The many other features live up to what they claim. Great reception and clarity. In a world of smartphones it's hard to make a case for owning a landline, but with this phone you won't feel like your'e stuck in the 20th century.:-)
