Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Intel Turbo Memory lets your notebook actually learn your habits to provide better system response. That's because it stores frequently used information near the processor, where it's more quickly available. CPUs run better with Intel Turbo Memory.Intel Turbo Memory is a primary PC component, along with the CPU, chipset, and system memory. It caches large amounts of frequently used data for faster access by the processor. This decreases the need for hard-disk accesses, saving both time and power, which equates to increased performance and energy efficiency. That's good news for users who run data-intensive software like media applications. It's also a good match to the substantial system requirements to load and run Windows Vista.Intel Turbo Memory is a single solution that accelerates data transfer both to and from the processor.

4 out of 5 stars Make sure you download the latest software, dont use the included CD   September 23, 2008
Basically the software on the included CD is very very out of date. Make sure you download the latest version from Intel's website. I originally tried installing from the included CD but my computer refused to restart after that (a system recovery got me up and running with relative ease). Now I have it installed and working on my Dell Studio 1535 laptop but the question now is it doing anything? The truth is I have no idea. The Turbo Memory Console says that ReadyBoost and ReadyDrive are both enabled but I have yet to notice any difference. It must be doing something though...

According to the demo video on Intel's website I am supposed to be able to select what programs I want to "boost" but that is not available to me. They must have gotten rid of it in this most recent software version I have.

5 out of 5 stars Turbo Memory is Turbo Great   June 1, 2008

I think this is a great thing to have. It does speed up the startup time and adds a bit more space to my loaded computer.

4 out of 5 stars Helpful   May 14, 2008

The Intel Turbo Memory chip did help in opening programs that I use often. The most noticeable difference is that, before I installed this chip, Microsoft Office 2007 opened slower. With the addition of this chip, it opens quicker. It definetly helps loading programs faster. Price is extremely reasonable also.

3 out of 5 stars Is it working?   February 22, 2008

Just installed today, did not notice any benefit. Works only with Windows Vista in an E-PCI slot. No noticeable improvement, no increase in Experience score either. Have not run any benchmarks yet.

3 out of 5 stars System does not boot up faster   February 15, 2008

This product does not make your system boot up faster but it will help you to speed up a little bit during your system recover from hibernate.

The only best thing about this product is that it reduce the need to access the HDD significantly (Maybe able to expand HDD life span and save some power?).
