Good piece of equipment, good for web surfing. August 29, 2010 Deanna (Chico, California, USA) 3 of star rating is because it asks "How much fun is this game?" It's a keyboard, not a game, so I wasn't sure how to answer that. The keyboard came quickly and as described (Purchased from Amazon) and at a much better price than anywhere else. The keyboard is easy to use and we have no problem with reception/signal. I really wish they had designed it to be used with a mouse and it would have made the whole system and experience better. And web surfing is very slow on the the Wii. However, I still am glad we made the purchase.., as far as this keyboard goes it's good quality, it was easy to install and use, and it's a good addition to our Wii equipment. It's fun to go to facebook pages and such on our big flat screen with the Wii.
keyboard August 26, 2010 peter toppi (Portland, ME, US) i realy like this thing! it works nicely for me. very easy to set up. have had a lot of fun with it so far.
Battery Eater August 21, 2010 PacNW Grrl (Lynnwood, WA) This is a highly functional wireless keyboard for a very low price, but it has one drawback that means it can't live on my desk for much longer. I have been using it as my main keyboard for a little over a month now and I am burning through two AA batteries a week. I turn it off when not in use, but I do type a lot. The response time of the keyboard with fresh batteries is as good as a corded keyboard, but as the batteries decline, so does the performance of the keyboard. Like a lot of nerdy geeky types, I type over 120 wpm, and by the time I'm on day 5 of a pair of batteries, the board just begins to ignore strings of letters. That won't work for me. This handy little item will find a new home with the game system very soon when I get a different keyboard for typing on my computer.
Good product, makes Wii browsing much easier August 9, 2010 hfa8592 Good, solid product. Have owned for about a month now. I really like that it's so small it easily fits in a storage ottoman in front of my couch for easy access when needed. Really, this is the smallest wireless keyboard I have ever seen. Also, very easy to set up and use -- just plug the USB dongle into the back of your Wii, sync up the keyboard with one press of a button and BAM - you're good to go. As some other users have noted, the one feature that would be extremely useful would be the addition of some kind of pointing / mouse capability built into the keyboard. Currently, you must use a Wii controller as your pointer / mouse and then set it down to use the keyboard when you need to type. Considering that the the Wii uses a sensor bar for pointing, but the keyboard is 2.4ghz technology, I doubt adding this feature would even be possible however.
That said, it does what it claims -- makes it easier to use the Wii as a browser (email would be IMPOSSIBLE without this keyboard!), in a very compact package.
Reccomend.
Great Wii Addition August 7, 2010 Thomas W. Thorpe (Monument, Colorado) Nintendo never made the Wii controller a great data entry device for Internet browsing of URLs. This baby gets the job done in style with even an audible key click feature. Most, if not all, of the Wii special keys are included and the price is right.
This is a no hassle setup and a major frustration eliminator. For the price you would be foolish not to go for for this Wii addition.
