This really works great. Put it where you want it on the dash and it stays - no sliding around.

It does what it is intended to do, the GPS stays on the dash with no slipping and fit my Nuvi 750 perfectly. This product is useful for states that do not allow you to attach a GPS to your windshield (like California-even though a lot of people still do). It also resolves any issues you may have with the windshield mount (some people have had problems, I haven't encountered any). With this mount you can easily move your GPS from car to car since all you need to do is take the mount with you. For storage it fits in your glove box or center consol. The mounting stem separates from the mounting yoke and you can store that piece in your case (as long as your case is large enough) Remember to move the slider to lock position when you place the stem back into the yoke. Amazon offered the best price. Most brick and motor stores were almost twice the price.

i was very satisfied with, ijust set it on the dash and it dosent move an inch it is a wonderful product i strongly recommend it
This should be standard with the purchaseNovember 25, 2008 When I purchased my Garmin nuvi 660, it came with the suction cup window mount. I never liked the window mount. It left marks on the window - inviting a break-in. It reduced the field of vision and was not easy to adjust the position. The friction mount is great. Put it anywhere you want, and it stays. I've used it in 2 different cars and a minivan; no problems at all. It works on flat, angled, curved, etc surfaces. I highly recommend this mount.
Versatile portable mount works great.November 25, 2008 We use this with our Garmin nuvi 260W. It sets right were we put it on the dash and it allows us to toss it on the floor when we leave the car. Since we have two vehicles it is very quick and easy to move it from one to the other. Highly recommend it.
