Item is a little large for the dash but as described it Just Works, have not been able to get it to slide even with some pretty spirited driving. That said I would consider more for a van or SUV than a standard vehicle. It really has a humongous footprint.
Great addition to my garminNovember 23, 2008 This is a handy item to have to easily use your garmin on the dashboard and then remove it for safe storage when you get out of your car.
Perfect for dashboardsNovember 23, 2008 This mount is perfect for dashboards when you don't want to affix anything permanently to the car. It's great for throwing under the car set or in a console cabinet to hide it when you leave your car.
It's heavy and textured so it sits exactly where you put it, but it's easy to move around The only reason I don't give it a 5-star review is because it's somewhat big and doesn't really fold up. Hence, it won't fit in smaller center console cabinets or under motorized car seats.
It Works GreatNovember 23, 2008 I am suprised that this mount works so good! I actually had low expectations and imagined this product would disappoint but... Garmin has stayed true to their high standard of quality. I am very happy to have this mount as it allows me to easily move my Nuvi for security purposes.
excellentNovember 23, 2008 I must say that I would have perfered the suction cup to work properly and stay in place, however it did not. So I felt I had to try this product, and it is excellent! It works well, and never moves. I would highly reccomend this product! It certainly does everything it says it will, and whats more, now that I have been using the friction mount I like it better then the suction cup. It is so easy to move and hide the GPS when parked.
